Rüsselsheim. In September 2025, ALPINA Parking from Munich took over the management of three central municipal parking garages in Rüsselsheim. The management contract between the city and ALPINA Parking Rüsselsheim GmbH was concluded in March 2025 and covers the management of a total of 742 parking spaces, including 242 in the An der Festung parking garage at Frankfurter Straße 5, 233 in the Park & Ride parking garage at Rüsselsheim station, Grabenstraße 42, and 267 parking spaces in the centrally located underground garage at Löwenplatz for visitors to the city center.

Rüsselsheim. From September 1, 2025, the operator ALPINA Parking from Munich will take over the management of three central municipal parking garages in Rüsselsheim. Trial operations will begin as early as August 22.

The management contract between the city and Alpina Parking Rüsselsheim GmbH was concluded in March 2025 and covers the management of a total of 742 parking spaces, including 242 in the An der Festung parking garage at Frankfurter Straße 5, 233 in the Park & Ride parking garage at Rüsselsheim train station, Grabenstraße 42, and 267 parking spaces in the centrally located underground car park at Löwenplatz for visitors to the city center.

City Councillor Simon Valerius explains: “The new service provider Alpina offers modern parking technology and significantly improves the booking and payment options. It is also pleasing that the multi-storey parking lot on Grabenstraße is no longer exclusively reserved for public transport customers, but can now also be made available to the general public. The city is thus expanding its offer for short-term parking outside the public street space.”

ALPINA Parking supports both cash and cashless payment methods at all three locations. ALPINA had already been awarded the contract for the management of the three Rüsselsheim parking garages at the end of 2024 as part of a Europe-wide tender.

“We are very proud that we were able to win over the city of Rüsselsheim with our concept in the highly competitive tendering process,” explains CEO Maximilian Bichlmaier. “With simplified processes, high service quality and offers tailored to the individual locations, we want to make parking as uncomplicated and convenient as possible.”

 

New processes, moderate parking fees and more security

The new parking technology includes automatic license plate recognition, which eliminates the need for the usual parking ticket. The license plate number is automatically recorded on entry and only needs to be entered at the pay station for access control and payment. On exit, the license plate number is checked by the cameras and, if payment has been made, released. The parking charges set by the city remain moderate.

In terms of security, the zones around the ticket machines and the entrances and exits will be monitored by camera in future. In the underground parking garage at Löwenplatz, the city will also be introducing A fast-closing roller shutter will secure the entrance and exit areas against unauthorized access. In future, the stairwells can also only be accessed by those authorized to park, as they will be secured by an access system.

 

Convenient and environmentally friendly parking with a contact person on site

ALPINA Parking is currently installing the technology. In future, it will be possible to pay either in cash or by debit or credit card at all three locations.

“It is important to us that a service employee from ALPINA is also personally available for our customers in all three parking garages in the Löwenplatz underground car park and that the parking process can be handled in a resource-saving manner without the use of paper tickets,” emphasizes Maximilian Bichlmaier.

ALPINA Parking Deutschland GmbH took over operation of the multi-storey parking lot at the Campus 9 medical center in Detmold in June 2025. The multi-storey parking lot at Robert-Koch-Straße 2 opposite the Lippe Clinic offers spacious parking areas for 327 spaces. As an operator that focuses on individual and environmentally friendly operating concepts, ALPINA Parking plans to optimize the parking supply and utilization at the location.

“We are particularly pleased to be able to add another attractive medical location to our portfolio with the modern “Medizinzentrum Campus 9″ parking garage in Detmold and that we certainly manage one of the most architecturally beautiful parking garages in Germany here. With this parking facility, we want to appeal to many different users, from patients and medical staff at the site to visitors and guests,” explains Maximilian Bichlmaier, Managing Director of ALPINA Deutschland GmbH.

The Campus 9 medical center houses various specialist practices as well as teaching rooms and a congress center of Klinikum Lippe, which is part of the OWL University Hospital. The multi-storey parking lot, which was first put into operation in 2024, offers bright, clearly laid out and secure parking spaces. An ALPINA parking garage manager will be available to customers as a contact person on site. The moderate prices of 2.00 euros per hour and a daily maximum of 15 euros will be maintained.

Effective March 1, 2025, Mr. Vlad will assume the position of Regional Manager for Germany and Austria at Alpina Parking. With his extensive and profound industry experience, which he has acquired over the course of 27 years in operational management at a leading parking management company, he will make a significant contribution to further strengthening the company.

His core competencies lie in particular in the strategic development of operational structures, the optimization of work processes and the successful implementation of growth initiatives. The Alpina team sees this new addition as a significant gain in order to consistently continue the growth course it has embarked on and at the same time to further increase operational excellence.

Leipzig-Eutritzsch, Germany – Alpina Parking GmbH has taken over the management of all parking spaces at St. Georg Klinikum in Leipzig’s Eutritzsch district with immediate effect. This involves a total of around 500 parking spaces, which will now be managed and looked after by Alpina Parking.

“We look forward to using our expertise to ensure efficient and visitor-friendly parking management at St. Georg Klinikum,” explained a spokesperson for Alpina Parking. “Our aim is to make the stay of both patients and hospital staff as pleasant as possible.”
